  • 3 ripe tomatoes, finely diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar until well combined.
  4. Brush the cut sides of the bread lightly with olive oil and toast in the oven for 5–7 minutes until golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and spoon the tomato mixture evenly over each half.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes until soft and edges are golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing; serve warm.
