  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine bread flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, mix instant dry yeast with warm water until frothy.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  4. Transfer dough to a floured surface; knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth. Incorporate sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and garlic powder while kneading.
  5. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the risen dough, divide into two pieces, shape into baguettes, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Let rise again for another 30 minutes; preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Brush tops with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt before baking for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
