  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into 1.5-inch meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and garlic until soft. Add crushed tomatoes and oregano; season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Return meatballs to the sauce and simmer for an additional 20–25 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  6. Serve spaghetti topped with meatballs and sauce; garnish with grated Parmesan and parsley.
