  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup cold butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup soft unsalted butter (for filling)
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs (for filling)
  • 1 1/3 cups almond flour (for filling)
  • Sliced almonds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pâte Sucrée crust by mixing all-purpose flour, salt, powdered sugar, and almond flour in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Add egg and form into a disk; refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the chilled dough and press it into a tart pan.
  3. For the frangipane filling, cream together soft butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Gradually combine almond flour and all-purpose flour.
  4. Pour the frangipane into the prepared crust and top with sliced almonds.
  5. Bake for about 50 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely before serving.
