  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp apple vinegar (or dry apple juice)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 medium yellow onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, apple vinegar (or dry apple juice), sesame oil, and sugar. Add the beef and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry onions until translucent, then add garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
  3. Push onions aside and add marinated beef. Stir-fry until browned (about 3-5 minutes), then combine everything in the wok.
  4. Pour in broth or water while stirring continuously for another minute until well-coated.
